the Make You A Maker program
When new creatives enter agency-land, they are excited about the potential to make great work. But the reality is that most of them end up working on very few clients and making even fewer pieces of content. They get stuck in the dreaded “deck swirl” of tweaking ideas, designs, and copy for content that will never see the light of day. Only when they “get more experience” will they have an opportunity to pitch ideas to clients, make great work, and fill their portfolios.
At SOCIALDEVIANT, we believe that model is outdated and straight-up flawed.
That’s why we created the MAKE YOU a MAKER Program.
As part of this program, from Day 1 you will:
Work with some of the best in the business: You’re a core part of the team, not a fly on the wall.
Have direct exposure to clients: If you have a good idea, you’ll pitch it yourself.
Stuff your portfolio with a variety of work: From video to static to animation to paid and organic, name it and you’ll likely work on it.
HERE’S HOW THE MAKE YOU A MAKER PROGRAM WORKS:
You’ll have a senior creative mentor who will guide you through your talent acceleration and the MAKE YOU A MAKER program.
Every new DEVIANT Maker is guaranteed to have the following experiences within their first year of making at SOCIALDEVIANT:
At least nine opportunities to present your work to clients
Attend at least three shoots
Create content for at least three different brands
Work on the following content types:
Video production
Animation
Static
Interactive content
Produce content that is highlighted on SOCIALDEVIANT channels (website, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn)
Produce a “15 Seconds of Deviance” original video to share with the agency
Complete an internal project with other makers based on your area of interest / expertise
Select an area of ownership / thought leadership based on your interests (e.g., AI, virtual production, etc.)
The goal is simple:
Help you stuff your book full of great work and build your skills as you grow in your career.
