THE BIG IDEA
Using six unique stories of technology innovation at Cisco, we created short pieces of digital content that used animation and emojis. This allowed us to showcase the great work Cisco was doing across the globe such as: helping reroute traffic during bridge closures, protecting endangered rhinos from potential poachers, and providing real-time hazard warnings to truckers.
HOW DID WE GET HERE?
INSIGHT: In May, Cisco launched a new brand campaign entitled “There’s Never Been a Better Time” in hopes of changing its perception from a stodgy networking giant to an innovative technology company.
OPPORTUNITY: Cisco is doing amazing things in technology innovation in an effort to make the world a better place, but they wanted a better way of sharing these innovations on their social channels.
Along with the animated GIFs, we used a simple Instagram hack to create an interactive experience that allows users to choose which emojis and stories they’re most interested in exploring:
- We created a post featuring all 6 brand story emojis that link to 6 unique profiles
- Each unique profile offers more in-depth information on each story
- Each individual story uses an image from the campaign to display across the entire Instagrid of the new profiles.
